Due to the current situation regarding the COVID-19 outbreak, the hard decision was made to cancel in-person commencement for 2020, but we are happy to announce that we will be hosting a Virtual Commencement for you to participate in, so you can still be recognized for your hard work and achievements.

THE DEADLINE TO RSVP was May 15, 2020 BY 6P. If you have questions please contact

  • How can I participate? Students who have applied for conferral of an award with Admissions and Records or who have been auto conferred an award were sent emails to RSVP.  Students needed to RSVP by 6p on May 15 if wanted to participate in the ceremony by creating a slide and video. 

  • What is a personal slide? Through our partner site, MarchingOrder,, you will be able to populate your card with your degree, honors, a picture and a short message. You do not need to be wearing a cap and gown in your picture. A sample card can be found here by scrolling down to the bottom of the page. 

  •  How do I create my video? Directions for how to create your short 10 second personal video message through our company, StageClip, will be sent the week of May 11. Samples of the video can be found at the bottom of the page here.  Students will have until May 27 at 12p to make edits to their slides.

  • Can I participate if I am transferring, but not being awarded a degree or certificate? Yes! If you did not receive an email on how to participate, please fill out the form here Forms must be received by May 15 at 6p to be eligible to have a personal card made. 

  • Can I purchase a Cap and Gown? If you would like to purchase a cap and gown, or any other graduation supplies,  visit Remember, make your purchase early to ensure you receive them in time as shipments will be coming from out of state. 

  • Is there any assistance with cap and gown purchases? The deadline to request assistance passed on May 13. Please contact to see if there is something we can do to help.

  • How can I participate in the video montage? As a part of the site, we are creating a video montage of graduates, family, friends, faculty, and staff who would like to say congratulations or thank you.  If you are interested in participating, please fill out the form here by May 13th:

  • If I participate in the Virtual Commencement, will I be able to participate in the 2021 Ceremony? Yes, you will still be able to participate in the 2021 Ceremony where we will hopefully be celebrating for the first time in our new football stadium
