Biography

William Francis McGuire's theater acting credits include Shakespeare In Love, All the Way, A Midsummer Night's Dream,The Intelligent Design of Jenny Chow, A Wrinkle In Time, A Christmas Carol,Tartuffe and Pacific Playwright Festival's The Few at Tony Award winning South Coast Repertory Theatre.

He spent five years as a company member of the Guthrie Theater, where he performed in Joanne Akalaitis' The Rover, Garland Wright's productions of Naga Mandala and The Seagull, Bartlett Sher's production of The Good Hope, Anne Justine D'Zmura's production of Peer Gynt and many more.

Other theatre credits include Henry V and Macbeth at the Shakespeare Theatre, Tropeano Paints at the Bay Street Theatre, The Boys Next Door at the American Repertory Theatre, Search and Destroy at Yale Repertory, Desperate Affection at the Cricket Theatre, Good and Faithful Servant at the Actors Playhouse and Creeps at the Actors Collective.

His film credits include The Day After Tomorrow and Mission Impossible lll, among many others. Television credits include 100 Deeds for Eddie McDowd (series regular),CSI, Castle, Saving Grace, Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior, The Mentalist, Weeds, Numb3rs, Crossing Jordan, Navy N.C.I.S., Without A Trace, NYPD Blue, ER, Drake and Josh, and many more as well as the movies-of-the-week Tru Confessions and Dad's Home. He has starred in numerous national commercials and voiceovers, where he is perhaps best known as the Dodge Ram Hemi Guy.

William has also served as the movement/fight choreographer and voice/dialect coach on numerous productions at theatres and Universities including Cal Rep, Cricket Theater, The History Theater, Denison University, and Cal State Long Beach.

William has taught at Cal State Long Beach, Denison University, Guthrie Theater Education Program, UCLA Extension,and University of Minnesota MFA acting program. He has also taught CSULB and Saddleback College study abroad theater programs in Ireland and Tanzania.

His training includes extensive study with William Esper, Robert Neff Williams and Dell 'Arte in Bali, Indonesia.

He has a BFA in Acting from NYU Tisch School of the Arts and his MFA in Acting from Yale School of Drama.
