Steps for Promise Program Starting Fall 2024

  • Apply to Saddleback College
  • A Saddleback College Fall 2024 application will begin the process of determining your Promise Program eligibility.
    • October 1, 2023: the Fall 2024 application opens for first-time freshman
    • Students who have taken a course at Saddleback College during Fall 2023, Spring 2024, or Summer 2024 might not need to submit a new application for Fall 2024 if their application is active and they are considered continuing.
  • Within 24 - 48 hours, students receive an email from the Saddleback Admission and Records Office titled "Saddleback College - Permit to Register." In this email you will find your Saddleback ID number and your Resident Status.
  • Confirm that your Resident Status says "Resident." If it reads "Non-resident," follow the instructions to establish California residency or to request the AB540 - California resident status exemption (for undocumented/Dreamer students).

Before you can register for Fall 2024 classes, you must complete the pre-enrollment requirements.
