No two students at Saddleback College are exactly alike—and that's what makes our community thrive. Whether you're fresh out of high school, returning to school to pursue a new passion, balancing classes with a full-time job, or raising a family while earning your degree, your story is an integral part of our story.
Here we feature four Saddleback students from different walks of life—diverse in age, background, and life experience. Through their stories, you'll get a glimpse into the heart of campus life, the resources that support our students, and the shared drive that brings us all together. This is what it means to be part of the Saddleback family.

As a second-year student preparing to transfer next year, my goal is to continue my journey at UCLA — or maybe even USC. Thanks to the incredible support and tools Saddleback has provided, I feel confident about my next steps. I see myself as an executive at a magazine or making an impact in marketing communications. Saddleback has truly laid the foundation for my future.

What I value about Saddleback is the flexibility — it gives me the freedom to take classes in the afternoon, work, and still pursue my passions. It’s rare to find a school that supports your life outside the classroom. I feel truly blessed to be part of a community where the staff and faculty genuinely care and are focused on helping us build a successful future.

Growing up in San Juan Capistrano, choosing Saddleback felt like coming home. Every teacher and mentor has made me feel supported — no matter how big or small the ask. That welcoming environment is why I chose Saddleback, and I couldn’t be happier to be part of this community.

What I love most about Saddleback is how homey it feels. There’s a real connection between the staff, students, and faculty — you can tell they genuinely care and want every student to succeed. I haven’t seen that kind of support anywhere else. For a community college, I truly believe it’s the best there is.
