Saddleback@ATEP is open for instruction! The new 50,000 square foot site provides an additional learning space for Saddleback’s highly-regarded programs in culinary arts and advanced automotive. Located in the heart of Orange County at the Advanced Technology and Education Park (ATEP) in Tustin, Saddleback@ATEP is situated near commercial businesses and industry, with whom we work hand-in-hand to train a ready workforce.
Where Culinary Careers Begin
The 20,000-square-foot culinary arts space includes four state-of-the-art commercial kitchen labs that feature big-screen monitors for live instruction and real-world software to train in restaurant operations, a student-run public restaurant, on-site coffee bar, culinary garden, and expert instructors with deep industry experience and a passion for innovation.
Cutting-edge Advanced Automotive Training
Advanced Automotive students will benefit from a premier 30,000 square foot facility with a cutting-edge automotive shop, 14 lifts, workstations, and service bays, four dedicated classrooms designed to teach emerging technologies in the automotive industry and advanced transportation sector, demo labs, and a 15,000 square-foot enclosed yard for instructional vehicles and materials.
A Sustainable Facility Designed for Student Success
Saddleback@ATEP was designed with a focus on sustainability and includes the following modifications:
- Oriented to maximize the prevailing breeze and natural ventilation through operable windows
- 252 kW of photo voltaic panels to offset a significant portion of the building's energy use
- Electric heating and cooling systems to minimize greenhouse gas emissions
