Certificate of Achievement
Description
The Kitchen and Bath Design Certificate of Achievement prepares students for careers in residential kitchen and bath design. As an NKBA-affiliated program, coursework emphasizes industry standards and provides training in design planning, technical drawing, digital design, and client presentations. Students develop skills in space planning, materials and specifications, lighting, and building codes specific to kitchen and bath environments, while building professional portfolios and gaining practical experience through internships in the field to support career entry or advancement. This certificate supports employment in residential design firms, kitchen and bath showrooms, and design-build companies. Courses in this program may be applied toward the Interior Design A.S. degree and other Interior Design certificates. Graduates also gain the educational foundation required to pursue the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) Certification pathways, along with the required industry work experience and examinations.
