About This Event

We’re excited to celebrate AANAPISI Week at Saddleback College! All week long we are hosting panels, cultural activities, and opportunities to learn, connect, and honor Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities on our campus. Check out the schedule below and join us for one or more of these events.

Monday

Speaking Up: Elevating Voices and Impact of AANAPISIs

  • When: Monday, September 22, 2025, 12pm–1pm  
  • This panel will explore the critical role of Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institutions (AANAPISIs) in advancing educational equity and student success through research, practice, and policy. Featuring insights from educational researchers, practitioners, and policy advocates, the discussion will highlight how AANAPISIs elevate the voices and experiences of AANHPI students and communities.

Under the theme "Connecting Our Canoes," the conference emphasizes the interconnectedness of our collective journey in higher education, as we navigate systemic challenges, celebrate cultural resilience, and chart pathways for future generations.
