Biography
I grew up in South Dakota and moved to California at 18 to enlist in the United States Marine Corps. I served four years as an infantry assaultman, completing three deployments to Iraq. After my military service, I returned to school using my education benefits and began my academic journey at Saddleback College. There, I focused on behavioral and health sciences while building a foundation in therapeutic principles, working as an aide in the Adaptive Kinesiology Department.
After completing my education at Saddleback College, I transferred to California State University of Fullerton, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, and then to Point Loma Nazarene University, where I completed my master’s degree in occupational therapy, allowing me to pursue a meaningful career that enables me to help individuals of all abilities improve function, participation, and overall quality of life through meaningful movement and activity.
Outside of my professional and academic pursuits, I enjoy spending time with my 10-year-old daughter, where we share a love for the outdoors and fast cars.
