Biography

Professor Salviani teaches in the Computer Science Department at Irvine Valley College and focuses on a variety of software languages including Java, C, C++, and Assembly Language.  He has a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Hawaii Pacific University, a Masters in Business Administration from Fresno State, and a Masters in Science in Networked Systems from the University of California, Irvine.  He has various industry certifications including CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Cisco's CCNA and Amazon Web Services Practitioner and Architect Associate Certifications.

He also organizes cyber defense training for middle and high school students for the CyberPatriot program. CyberPatriot is a national competition in cyber defense and includes training, practice labs, and other materials in Windows, Linux, and networking.

He was previously an IT Project Manager for the City of Beverly Hills and in the Air Force as an IT specialist and ROTC instructor.
