Self-Enroll in the Canvas Online Workshops
Due to the new multi-factor authentication, students must already be logged in to Canvas before enrolling in a library workshop. To enroll in the library workshops:
- Log in to Canvas.
- Open any Saddleback Canvas course you in which you are already enrolled.
- Copy and paste the workshop enrollment link into the same browser window of your open Canvas course.
- This semester's workshop enrollment link is: https://online.saddleback.edu/enroll/96WBC3
- You should be directed to a page with a red "Enroll in course" button to click.
- The library workshop shell should now be included in your Canvas dashboard.

This workshop helps students understand, use, and critically evaluate content generated by AI.
Academic Integrity and Avoiding Plagiarism
Learn why academic integrity matters and see examples of what crosses the line, how to paraphrase and cite to avoid plagiarism, and where to find student support so you can steer clear of ethical dilemmas.
Books and eBooks
Finding and using books and eBooks for research can be a breeze. This workshop will teach you how to find books using our catalog and how to navigate and evaluate those books to locate specific information.
Citing with APA
Learn how to create in text and reference citations in APA 7th edition. This workshop will teach you how to identify common errors, and will introduce you to tools to make citing easier.
Citing with MLA
Learn how to create in text and reference citations in MLA 9th edition. This workshop will teach you how to identify common errors, and will introduce you to tools to make citing easier.
Citing with RefWorks (RefWorks is becoming EndNote Fusion this semester)
You are finished writing your paper and now need to properly format your bibliography. Save yourself some frustration by learning how to create and organize the citations of your research sources with the ProQuest RefWorks citation management tool.
Finding Articles
Important sources for your research are often articles that are published in scholarly journals. Learn how easy it is to get exactly what you need for your research when you use the library’s online article databases.
Media Literacy
With so much online content in your social media feeds it can be hard differentiating between credible news sources and the wide net of misinformation. Learn skills and strategies to evaluate online content and rate news stories for reliability and bias.
Primary Source Literacy
Learn how to find, interpret, and evaluate primary sources, including photographs, newspapers, letters, and other firsthand evidence, using examples from Orange County's local history.
