Ashley Lauren McKeachie, MA, C-IAYT, ERYT 500, NBC-HWC

Ashley McKeachie, certified yoga therapist, registered yoga teacher, yoga educator, and health and wellness coach, has been committed to teaching the power of yoga since 2011. She received her yoga therapy certification in 2014, and a Master’s in Yoga Studies from Loyola Marymount University in 2017. Ashley worked as a yoga therapist for six years in a functional restoration program at the Orange County Pain and Wellness Center, implementing the tools and techniques of yoga to decrease the symptoms associated with anxiety and depression.

Ashley started working as an adjunct faculty at Orange Coast College in the Kinesiology and Athletics department in 2014, teaching Hatha Yoga to matriculating students. She used her thesis at LMU as an opportunity to create a comprehensive and affordable yoga teacher training program at a community college. Her training was implemented at Orange Coast College in 2017, where she was the lead trainer for the 200-hour Yoga Instructor Training Program for 10 cohorts. Ashley has certified over 250 students as yoga instructors.

In 2022, Ashley was hired as a fitness instructor at the world-famous resort, Rancho La Puerta, in Tecate, Mexico, where she teaches a variety of classes from chanting to aerial yoga, and from ballet to meditation. Ashley is now a Specialty and guest instructor at the Ranch, where she is invited to lead immersive week-long programs centered on yoga, resilience, healthy aging, and well-being.

In 2023, Ashley completed the Susan Samueli Academic Integrative Medicine certificate program and is now a board-certified health and wellness coach. For two years, she was a mentor for the program, offering feedback and assessing students based on criteria from the National Board of Health and Wellness Coaches.

Ashley began teaching for the Saddleback College Emeritus Health and Wellness program in the fall of 2023, teaching classes to active aging adults who range from 55 to 98 years old. She teaches a variety of in-person and online classes that feature Yoga, Pilates, Sequential Stretching, Chair Exercise, and Balance and Mobility. As of August 11, 2025, Ashley is a full-time tenure-track faculty member and Chair of the Emeritus Health & Wellness Department at Saddleback College. Beginning in the Fall of 2026, she will expand her leadership role by also serving as Chair of the Emeritus Sciences Department, assuming the combined title of Chair of Health & Sciences.
