Before You Start
A few minutes of preparation can make the process easier.
Have your information ready:
- A personal email address
- Contact and residency information
- Your educational history
- Social Security Number or ITIN (if applicable)
You can save your progress and return later if you need more information.
Plan for Identity Verification
- Students who are 18 years of age or older must verify their identity before their application can be processed. Verification can be completed using CA DMV Wallet or ID.me.
- Students under age 18 are not currently required to complete identity verification during the application submission process.
