WORDS, IMAGES & FILM FEATURED AT WALL PUBLIC READING
Student writers and artists whose works are published in the 2026 edition of WALL Literary Journal will read from their stories and poems and share insights on their creative process in a public reading on September 17.
The event will take place from 6:30-8 p.m. on Thursday, September 17 in College Center 212. Refreshments will be served from 6-6:30 p.m.
This year’s public reading will highlight the screening of Luke Shuler’s “The Secret Menu,” the first student film to be featured in connection with WALL. A QR code in the published edition offers a link to the film and a behind-the-scenes story about the making of the film on the WALL website.
WALL Literary Journal annually showcases the poems, short stories, personal narratives, art, and photography of students at Saddleback College. Produced by students in English 160, a Literary Magazine class, the journal has been winning First Place awards in nationwide competitions among college literary publications since 2012.
