Students must submit a graduation application to be evaluated for degree or certificate completion. Follow the steps below to apply online:

  1. Log in to MySite (available for Fall 2025 and later).
  2. Click Open Student Dashboard on the Student Self-Service tile.
  3. Select Graduation Application and complete the following steps:
    • From the Term dropdown, select the most recent term available.
    • Choose your Program for Graduation.
      • If multiple programs appear, apply for one first, then repeat the process for any additional programs.
      • If the program you wish to graduate from does not appear, visit the Counseling Department or Admissions and Records so it can be added. Once added, you’ll be able to submit your application.
  4. From the Graduation Date dropdown, select the term you plan to graduate.

Important Information

  • You may only apply for programs that are declared and active on your student record. If a program is not declared, you will not be able to submit an application for it. 
  • A separate application must be submitted for each degree and/or certificate.

Qualifications

  • Must have completed at least 45 units of degree coursework to apply
  • Must have submitted official transcripts to Admissions and Records from all college/universities for which coursework is to be used.
  • For students who have completed AP, IB, CLEP, ROP:
  • Must have submitted official reports for Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate (IB), CLEP, or Regional Occupational Programs (ROP).
  • For students who have coursework from other countries:
  • Must have submitted foreign transcripts through an approved credential evaluation service showing detailed course descriptions with unit and GPA breakdown.

  • Must have submitted official transcripts to Admissions and Records from all college/universities for which coursework is to be used.
  • For students who have completed AP, IB, CLEP, ROP:
    Official reports for Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate (IB), CLEP, or Regional Occupational Programs (ROP) must be on file in Admissions and Records
  • For students who have coursework from other countries:

For students completing noncredit courses in a prescribed pathway, approved by the Chancellor's Office, that prepares students to take credit coursework, including basic skills and ESL, a certificate of competency may be awarded. A noncredit certificate of competency means a document confirming that a student enrolled in a noncredit educational program of noncredit courses has demonstrated achievement in a set of competencies that prepares him or her to progress in a career path or to undertake degree-applicable or nondegree-applicable credit courses. For students completing noncredit courses in a prescribed pathway, approved by the Chancellor's Office, leading to improved employability or job opportunities, a certificate of completion may be awarded.   • At least one course required in the Occupational Skills Award must be completed at Saddleback College.
