Food Pantry: Asian Grocery
May in the C.A.R.E. (Community Allocated Resources for Everyone) Corner

We’re adding Asian grocery staples to our food pantry to better reflect and support our diverse community. Everyone is welcome to enjoy and share in these familiar flavors! Our on-campus Basic Needs Center, the C.A.R.E. Corner, is located in Village 3. No appointments are needed to utilize these resources.
 

AANHPI Book Giveaway
Tuesday, May 6, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. near College Center

Join us for a free AANHPI (Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander) book giveaway event! Explore a diverse collection of literature that celebrates the rich narratives and cultures of AANHPI authors. This gathering is an opportunity to discover inspiring stories that not only entertain but also foster connection and understanding within our communities. 
 

Bobcat Days: AANHPI Heritage Month Celebration and Graduation
Wednesday, May 7, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Quad

Join us for Bobcat Days to celebrate Graduation and Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month with club booths, fun activities, games, and food! The Asian American Club and Chinese Student Association will also provide fun cultural games and activities at their booths.

Admissions and Records will hand out honors regalia to associate degree students with a 3.5+ GPA. We will also set up mortar board and stole decorating stations.

Enjoy live music by Filosophy, an all-star Asian American a cappella group created by the team behind The Filharmonic. Through powerful performances, Filosophy promotes Asian representation.

The Student Development Office, the Office of Student Success, College Equity Inclusion and Access, the International Student Office, and the Associated Student Government sponsor Bobcat Days. 
 

International Education Opportunity: China Trip Presentation
Monday, May 12, from 12 to 2 p.m. in College Center (CC) 212

Join us to hear firsthand experiences from Saddleback students who participated in the enriching China Trip Program. Learn about their journeys, cultural encounters, and the impact of the trip on their personal and academic growth. As part of this engaging session, you will also enjoy a complimentary Chinese lunch.
 

Tea Time Talks: AANHPI Student Panel
Tuesday, May 13, from 12 to 2 p.m. in College Center (CC) 212

Join us for an engaging student-led panel discussion that delves into the diverse experiences of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) communities. This event will feature a variety of speakers who will share their personal stories and insights, fostering a deeper understanding of cultural identities and challenges. To make the evening even more enjoyable, bubble tea and a selection of delicious snacks will be provided. 
 

Hawaiian Lei Making Workshop
Wednesday, May 14, from 12 to 2 p.m. in College Center (CC) 212

Join us for an engaging workshop where you'll learn the art of making fresh Hawaiian leis. This hands-on experience will guide you through the traditional techniques and cultural significance behind these beautiful floral creations. As you craft your own unique lei, enjoy a variety of delicious snacks and refreshing drinks that celebrate the essence of Hawaiian culture.
